Six Weird Things :: Take 2

I’ve been tagged by both Jana and Lori to do this meme ) (I feel so popular! ) … I’ve actually already done it, last April (which you can find .:HERE:.) But I thought I would do it again anyway.

Six Weird Things About Me

  1. When I wash dishes by hand, I have a system. I came up with this system when I was a girl (doing my chores), and I have used it ever since… The dishes have to go in the sink in a certain order, so that when they are in the rinse sink they will be in the right order, to how I want them in the drainer. I showed my system to Jared, and he said that it did make it easier. Joe just thinks I’m sick. (But dishes MUST be stacked in the dish drain in just the right order, don’t you think? )
  2. I am obsessively organized with the kids’ clothes. Each pair of pants has it’s own shirt, and they MUST be worn together. If one of the kids gets them messed up and puts wrong clothes together, I will have them go change, because it drives me NUTS. I am also weird about the drawers… All outfits are put together. Drawers 1 (top drawer) is for jammies, socks, and undies. Shorts outfits in drawer 2, short sleeve pants outfits in drawer 3, and long sleeve outfits in drawer 4. After checking the weather for the day, I will tell the kids which drawer they can choose their clothes from…. Weird? Yes… But it works for us!
  3. I can tone things out… I mean REALLY tone things out. I get into lala land so deeply, that I can get completely oblivious to things that are going on around me. I’ll be so deep in thought that sometimes the kids have to call me 3 or 4 times before I realize they are trying to get my attention… Though, I can hear crying right away, thank heavens! I’ve never been zoning too much, that I wasn’t there when they needed me, if someone was hurt or something.
  4. Yesterday I got a new book (White Chocolate Moments by Lori Wick) and I read until 4:30 in the morning, knowing full well that the kids would be up bright and early.
  5. I am INCREDIBLY shy. I am usually terrified to meet new people. If Joe would let me, I probably would become a hermit, and never leave the house. As it is, I’ve been known to go 2 weeks without even stepping out the front door (or the back door, for that matter). (That happened just this month… and it’s happened before.)
  6. Since I started blogging (almost 5 years ago) I have become AWFUL at answering Emails. It’s because I’ve already written down things about our life on the blog, so I never know what to say in the Email… So, if I owe you an Email, then SORRY!!!

Whew! I did it! I wanted to think of 6 new things, and I wasn’t sure I could… but I did it!

If you want to play too, then consider yourself tagged!

  1. Hi Julie!! Thank-you for playing again. I definitely have a system when I do dishes too. I just do not have to do them very often anymore with the dishwasher. Loved all of your answers!!
Have a nice day sweetie!! ((BIG HUGS))!!

  2. Well I was going to tag you but I see you’ve already been tagged. :)
Come organize my stuff for me? lol
I’m like you when it comes to being shy, I’ve gone long amounts of time without leaving the house too. I’d rather shop online and stay home given the choice.

  3. Oh my gosh! I’m the same way with the dishes. Hugs!!

  4. hehe you’ve always answered my emails, but then again they’re so rare they’re kinda too hard to miss ;) love ya!!

  5. you’re a weirdo alright. ;)

  6. I’m shy too! I don’t mind being at home and not going out sometimes. Although, it’s hard for me to not go anywhere for two weeks. I could if I had the chance though! I’m not a very social person. Sorry I haven’t commented lately–I’ve been lazy!

    Love Ya!

If I didn’t go anywhere for 2 weeks, I’d go out of my mind! LOL
