Ack! I am getting so far behind on here… My internet was down most of the day yesterday, into the evening, and long after I went to bed. Once the kids were in bed, and I couldn’t use my sewing machine anymore, I couldn’t even get online! So I opened up photoshop and did some scrapping instead. So I got those posted this morning when my internet came back….
I don’t have much time today, as I want to finish the quilt. I didn’t get it done yesterday, because I took down all the Christmas decorations before I worked on the quilt… I am almost done with the quilt though. I just have to do the “quilting” part… (I am not tying this quilt, but using the machine to quilt it instead.)… Anyway, it’s turning out super cute, and if I am lucky enough to have another baby boy, I am going to make Joel one just like it!
Anyway, Sara tagged me! I have to post 7 random or weird facts about me…
-
1) As you know, I enjoy sewing and quilting, and as a result, I have a bunch of sewing supplies… You’ll also remember that I am obsessively organized, right?… You know those tomato things that you stick your straight pins into? Well, I have the colored ball top pins, and I have each color of pin stuck into a different section on the tomato… And when I use the pins and stick them back into my tomato, I make sure to stick the pins back into the previous holes… I am a sick, sick woman. (It also drives me BATTY when someone uses my pins, because the pins don’t get put back in the correct spot.)
-
2) I miss changing diapers. Most people celebrate when all the kids are out of diapers… Not me. I was depressed.
-
3) I am a pretty good cook, and everyone loves my baking. My cookies, for one, are very popular… But… I don’t like to cook. At all.
-
4) I *don’t* like to play video games… They seriously stress me out. Esp. games like PacMan, where the ghost things are chasing you. My blood pressure goes up, as the stupid things are chasing me!
-
5) I have issues with “home grown” foods. If people give me eggs that come from their own chickens, I just CAN’T eat them. The thought gags me. I don’t even want to touch them. I have tossed home grown veggies too. (Yes, I know… I have problems.)
-
6) I save the kids used school supplies. All their pencil stubs and used erasers, etc get packed away with their school work. I would get new pencil boxes every year, if Joe would let me.
-
7) I have issues with eating in public, in regards to where I sit… I *hate* sitting in one of the middle tables, and want to sit in a booth… I also want to sit in the back, and not at the edge of the booth. I want to be able to “hide” behind the kids. (As if I could hide this bulk. *sigh*)
Well… Off to do my chores and finish the quilt!

Happy New Year 2008 Julie!! ((BIG HUGS))!!
ROFL! Oh my, you are one OCD kind of girl! I haven’t organized my straight pins yet, but I don’t have one of those cute lil’ tomatoes. I might have to invest though…
Changing diapers… I miss the babies, but I don’t miss the diapers - especially the icky ones! LOL
I don’t like to cook either…
Video games - I can handle those, although all the new ones are “virtual” and are hard for me to control. I make myself dizzy trying to make my little person go where I need him to be!
I want to have a garden someday - although, I rarely eat veggies, so I don’t know what the purpose is. I don’t like home grown eggs either. It seems like they are never washed well and seeing the “poopy” on them really grosses me out! LOL
I can’t stand “used” school supplies, but if you hafta use them, you hafta use them. I take care of my organizational needs by reusing their school boxes - one is for markers, one is for crayons, one is for colored pencils…
I don’t particularly care for restaurants - I’d rather just eat at home, or bring the restaurant food home.
ROFL - you are such an OCD person! love you!
I’m sad when the kids are out of diapers too. It’s such a huge milestone. That’s when you know for sure, you have no baby around.
