*Crickets Chirping*
Do you hear that? … It’s so quiet in here!! … Well, except for every once in a while, when the cat wanders through, looking (and mewing) for the kids.
Joe took the kids to the farm, to visit his grandma today. I stayed home so I could work on the garage sale stuff, but so far I haven’t done a single useful thing… And the day is passing by SO FAST… I am just too busy enjoying the peace and quiet… And I can price baby clothes tomorrow, right?… Although I should try to go through at least one bin, so I can tell Joe that I worked on it. *lol*
I think the toilet is going to be OK. *lol* … Joe said the noise was coming from the floater thing. For the last couple days he’s been messing with it, but every time he messed with it, the noise didn’t stop. It just changed.
But I just went in there a little while ago, and it wasn’t making any noise, so maybe Joe finally figured it out. (FYI: Joe may be a lot of things, but handy around the house, he is NOT… Bless his heart…)
The twins spent the night Thursday night, which kept the kids (and me) busy. I was glad to take them home yesterday though, as I can only handle Jacob for short periods of time. He’s whiny, and extremely lazy, and Does. Not. Like. To. Help. Clean. Up. Toys. He thinks our kids have too much work to do. *lol*
Hmmm… What else is going on? … Yesterday was just the boring payday/Woodburn trip. We did dinner at Arby’s, and then grocery shopping at Wal*Mart…
Sure wish Wal*Mart was closer though, as gas is up to $3.69 a gallon in Molalla now. *sob* Pretty soon we won’t be able to afford to leave the house at all! It takes around $80.00 to fill the tank, and with Joe’s job so far away he has to get gas every 3-4 days. *sigh* Remember the good ole days when we thought $50 a month was a lot to spend on gas. ![]()

I did manage to get some laundry folded today, after we went out rummaging, but like you, if the Hubby and child were out and about, I don’t know if I could make myself useful.
I try not to go shopping unless its absolutely necessary. It costs over $100 to fill the truck up. It’s outrageous! Hugs!!
I drive a small car so it takes about $35.00 to fill it up. But still, we don’t go anywhere we don’t have to go. The cheapest I’ve seen gas around here is $3.39.
Right now we don’t pay for our own gas ( another perk of our present positions) unless I am doing something like going to Orlando ( or LaBelle) for personal stuff. But yeah, the gas prices scare me. I teased hubby about buying hubby a moped once we got to Ruskin.
On the other hand, when I lived in Pioneer , I was 26 miles from town. It cost Chuck at least 10 dollars a day to run his Ford f-250. I only went to town when I needed to. Usually after he finshed a big job and I was stocking up on supplies. That was when gas were just over a dollar a gallon.
Geez.
I can still run on about $20 a week. I know Ron spends over $100 but he also puts lots of company miles on his truck.
I love the cricket sounds. Quiet sounds. Miss that! Can’t wait to get on the river.
Gas prices are totally ridiculous! BEYOND ridiculous, in fact!!
I think the worst part of having a garage sale is pricing all the stuff. I absolutely hate that part! LOL
I hear ya! To fill up my van costs about $110!
Our gas is up to $3.49 and it took $39.49 to fill up our car and it is little. Oh my!
