Cold

Man… I got chilled this evening, and I can’t seem to warm up!! Does someone want to lend me an extra blanket? *lol*

Hope everyone has had a good couple days… It’s been nice and quiet around here. We haven’t really done anything worth blogging about, but I wanted to check in.

Between yesterday and today I got around 4 more (large) totes of baby clothes priced and ready for the garage sale. It always takes me a while, because I hold everything up and say, “Awww… I remember when…”

I. Am. So. Pathetic! *sigh*

After Joe got home from work and we ate, we all headed outside. It’s supposed to get into the 90’s for the next 3 days, so I wanted to clean out the kids’ wading pool and slide, so they can play in it… But we ended up doing more than that. Joe emptied the entire shed, and then we sorted through the things that we want to sell (like all the Tonka Trucks, and the toddler ride-ons that the kids have long outgrown… Yes Sabina, we still have that ATV that used to be Dyllan’s. Jared loved it so much as a tot, that I am going to have a HARD time selling it). After everything was cleaned up and sorted, I swept out the shed and we tried to get things organized… It’ll be easier once the garage sale is over, and half the stuff is gone out of there.

When I wasn’t doing that stuff, I’ve been buried in Photoshop Elements, working on the kids’ heritage album… I am really close to having it done! I’ll post the new layouts when they are all done.

Well… I guess I won’t bore you any more. Maybe tomorrow I’ll have something a little more interesting to write about.

  1. Sorry you are so cold! Hope you warm up soon! Good for you … getting more things ready for you garage sale. Sounds like it is going to be quite an event!

I got drenched while using the pressure washer (what with it leaking and the back spray), and it gave me a chill… I finally did warm up though. *lol*)

  2. I was pretty sad to see a lot of Little Dude’s pajamas for sale at the rummage sale in which we participated. Too many memories… Where did that baby go? ;-)

I hear you!!!… I am having a hard time with the fact that my BABY will be FIVE this August.

  3. aw…must be very hard to be getting rid of your children’s old toys and clothes! But think of the other children who will get to wear/use them ! It’s a good thing that they are being put to use instead of just stored away :) (totally understand that it’s difficult though)

    *HUGS*

I admit, if we had a place to store it, I would keep it… Selfish as I am! ;)

  4. You never bored me Julie! Love reading your blog!

    Thanks Carol!

  5. I don’t think it’s pathetic, I love looking through things like that and “remembering when…”

It would be fun if you started a weightloss blog - then we can check on each others progress - keep each other in line ;)

If I do, I’ll let you know. :D

  6. That was interesting. I love hearing about people’s everyday lives. :) I am one of those who can hardly part with anything so I can imagine how hard it is to get rid of baby stuff. eeekkk You are always busy. :)

No, I am never bored. *lol* There is always something I want to do! :D

  7. Thanks for Cliff’s bd wishes. :)

    You’re welcome!

  8. That’s like me too! Once I get cold, I become like the bag lady - dressed in many layers AND a blanket. My husband doesn’t understand it since he says with all the extra “chub” layers, I should be warm hehe

I can’t imagine getting rid of baby stuff - I don’t think it’s pathetic, it must be really hard for you. I’d probably say “Aww” and then put them back in the “to keep” basket :)

Well, I do have a “to keep” basket. *lol* … By the time I am done, I’ll probably have a large bin for each kid. I’d love to keep more, but we don’t really have any storage space here. We’ve been keeping all this stuff in one of the rooms, and there is so much stuff it makes the room unusable. *sigh*

  9. I hope you get that chill out!

    I did, thanks! :D

  10. Hate having the chills…

It’s hard to let those baby clothes go. I’ve got a bin of a few pieces that I’ve saved, and I still get those “awww” moments.

Well, I am saving some. *lol*

  11. Hi Julie…

I’ve been going through the “remember whens” to with this move and all. Getting rid of the little clothes even tho mine are a bit older than yours is hard…I do have some things I kept to pass on but other stuff I just know someone else could use via freecycle!

Let me know if you do that Mom Salary Wizard thing. It does have something in there for SAHM Homeschoolers!! Let me know…I’d love to hear

    *BIG HUGS*

I didn’t see the homeschooling part on that…

  12. I hope you warmed up - thats how my phenomia started - I got so cold and couldn’t get warm.

Have a good evening - see you - Kellan

Well, luckily I just wrapped up on a blanket and put the warm laptop on my lap… That worked! *lol*

  13. Congratulations on achieving so much! That’s great. I’ve been sorting through baby clothes myself - but of course for a different reason! ;)
I’ve been given a bunch of 0000 and smaller clothes…I don’t think they’re going to get used somehow! *lol*

Take care of that chill and I look forward to seeing the layouts of the kids album. You are so talented there!!!

I wish I was sorting clothes for THAT reason. *sigh*

  14. First of all you are not Pathetic. You are just sentimental. I know what that is like LOL. and you are not boring LOL. Boring is my blog not yours LOL.

I hope you are able to get warm and I swear I need you over to help me organize LOL.

I don’t think your blog is boring either!!!

  15. I want to get ready for a garage sale so badly, but our garage is so horrible there’s no room to move. I’m going to have to have a trailer or something to put the garage sale stuff in to get it out of the way!

Right now the garage sale stuff is getting piled up in the family room (which will be our new classroom when this is all done), and I am getting SO TIRED of the mess!
