Splish Splash!
Oregon weather is just so weird! 23 days ago we had snow on the ground. On Wednesday it was cloudy, had some rain, and there was a nip in the air. Yesterday it got up to 88*, and it’s supposed to get to 96* today.
Yesterday morning the boys went out early and filled up their pool, so that the sun would have a chance to warm up the water before they played in it… I thought that by 1-ish, it would be OK to try it… But the water called early, and they couldn’t resist the call. *lol*
They got in their swimming suits and got sun screen on them, and were in that pool by 11:45… That water must have been COLD. But they didn’t care, they just wanted to play.
(note: I see that I miss-spelled the title on this video clip.
… I am such a moron!)
They had such a blast out there, and I’m sure they were probably a little more loud than they should have been. All the other kids in the neighborhood were at school, so other than my kids, it was quiet out. *lol*
What really amused me is that pretty soon Jared had the sprinkler going too, and they were in the pool with the water coming down on them from the sprinkler too (our sub division is on well water)… I don’t think I could have braved that, with as cold as that water was.

Then last night at 8 pm, the kids and I had a date… Tonight we go to see the new Narnia movie, Prince Caspian, in the theaters (yay!), so last night we got a bunch of junk food and settled in to watch The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
The kids loved that. We all (except Joe) are HUGE Narnia fans… In fact, we can hardly wait to go see the movie tonight!!! … With the first one the theater was PACKED on opening night, so yesterday Debbie (who works really close to the theater) picked up tickets for us, so that we would be sure to get some in case they sold out. We’re (the kids and I, since Joe is not interested) will be going to the 7 o’clock showing, so it will be a late night as the movie is 2 hours and 20 minutes long.
All I know is the kids BETTER go potty before the movie starts, because I don’t want to miss a SECOND of it!!! These are the times you miss when they were still wearing diapers. *rofl*

Little Dude enjoyed watching the video with me. Honest!
He was absolutely fascinated with your kids.
I love the girls doing everything possible to get in the pool, at first, but not get wet.
Now that’s talent, isn’t it? *lol*
The girls are so lucky they have two big brothers!
I think that *most* of the time they would agree with you!
So glad they had fun in the pool! I am afraid there can’t be a pool in our muddy backyard yet!
Glad you get to go see Narnia tonight! Enjoy your date! Love ya
I know what you mean! The kids didn’t get to use the pool at all last year, because Joe didn’t get the grass in soon enough.
Hehehe I think the boy’s first trip down the slide and into the water was an accident.
I LOVE this picture of the children together…precious! You children seem to all get along so well together. That is wonderful. Enjoy the movie…sounds like tons of fun!
Josh’s first trip (and second one, for that matter) *was* an accident! *rofl* … But I think Jared did it on purpose.
Yay for the pool! It’s supposed to get up to 101 here today. Thank goodness for our bigger pool! We are planning on going to see Prince Caspian tomorrow after looking at RV parks. Hugs!!
I’ll make sure not to tell you any spoilers!!!!
Wow you get to see Prince Caspian - lucky! I hope you all enjoy it, we’ll be waiting a while longer out here in England before we can see that *sighs* I can’t wait to move to California!
I CAN NOT wait!!!… 8 more hours until show time!!!
How fun!! Your “loud” kids would fit right in in my back yard with all my LOUD kids!!
Have fun at the movie!
Have a good weekend too - see you - Kellan
*lol* Bet they would have fun together too!!!
LOL they look like they had a blast!! Have fun watching The movie tonight!!!
We did have a great time at the movie! It was awesome!
Your kids are soo cute! The movie sold out here.
Boys are so bummed out. We got a full weekend and won’t be able to make another try until Monday. Sigh
Hope you guys had fun!
That is SUCH a bummer!! I hope you get to see it soon… The theater we saw it at had it playing in two different rooms.
SO SO cute! Such beautiful children. HAHA. How do you get them to hold still for those photos? Sorry! Better mom than me. They are so adorable.
They are just used to me taking a bazillion pictures of them, and have learned (through experience) that they should stand still so they can get it over with!
*rofl*
Darn this UK - USA time difference - I’m dying to hear all about the film. What I really want to know is it worth using my money on? what can I say - I’m a penny pincher
My review is coming up next!!
LOL so fun!! they are so cute!
i LOVE that pic too - look at jared and josh holding hands…that’s precious!!!!!!!!
Well, it wasn’t exactly their idea!
*rofl*
BRRR! It’s been warm here, but not *that* warm. Jax was wanting to turn on the sprinkler yesterday and I told him “NO WAY!”
It would have been better to wait until the next day, when it got to 98*, but that’s when we went to see Prince Caspian. *lol*
Josh and Jared are like twins
So many people have told us that! *lol* … But they are almost the same height, they weigh exactly the same, and they both wear the same size clothes and shoes! So it’s easy to figure out why so many people think they are twins.
